Completely different from the others locations of the Cinque Terre, Corniglia, a hamlet in the municipality of Vernazza, seems born to see the sea from above, with a breathtaking view on the green headland where vineyards grow and is characterised by a strip of coastline which drops steeply, as if it wants to protect this big "terrace" with a unique view that switches from the blue crystal clear sea to palms, pine trees and agaves.

All this does not mean that Corniglia is not a bathing-place. In fact, near to the train station there is one of the largest beaches of the Cinque Terre, called lo Spiaggione, mainly made up of pebbles which are ideal for diving into the clear sea. In this context , Corniglia becomes the ideal place for hiking and trekking immersed in natural beauty.
